Glendora, CA - The Citrus College Baseball team opened up their 2017 home schedule on Thursday afternoon when they hosted East Los Angeles College. The Owls committed five errors, and managed just six, none of which came in a timely fashion, in a 9-0 loss.

Citrus kept in the game, and trailed by just a single run headed into the top of the fourth inning. That's when things began to fall apart as a two-out error prolonged what would have been just another one run inning and turned it into a four run spurt for the Huskies. In the top of the seventh, ELAC piled on scoring three more, before scoring their final run in the top of the eighth.

The Owls meanwhile put a runner past first base just once in the entire game. Citrus did put a base runner on in seven of their nine innings, but hit into double plays in three of those seven innings.

With the loss, drops to 0-2-1 on the year. The Owls will be on the road on Saturday when they travel to Pre-Season SoCal #20 Rio Hondo College for a 1:00 PM start.
