Citrus Baseball Notches Road Win At West LA

Citrus Baseball picked up a road win over host West LA on Tuesday. The Owls beat the Wildcats by a score of 7-4. 

The Citrus pitching staff fanned 11 batters and allowed just 3 earned runs on the way to the win. Benjamin Aguilera, who moves to 1-0 on the season with the W, struck out 7 batters in 5 innings pitched, facing 24 batters along the way. Reliever Matthew Sanchez gets credit for the save on 2 innings pitched and 2 K's, for his second save of the season. 

The Owls were led by efficient hitting from Alexis Paz, Jesse Villalobos and Kristian Scott. Paz, who leads the team this season in hits with 25, went 4-5 for 2 runs, 1 RBI and a stolen bag. Villalobos, who leads the team in RBI's, didn't disappoint with 3 hits (1 Double)and 3 RBI's. Scott chipped in 2 hits for 3 runs and an RBI.

Citrus, who moves to 7-6 on the year, snaps a three game skid and moves above .500. The Owls take the field next on Thursday as they host LA Mission College. First pitch is scheduled for 2:00 PM at Citrus.
