Owls Squeeze a Game in Between the Rains

Citrus Baseball found a small gap in the recent rains to fit in its game against Mt. San Jacinto College on Tuesday. The Owls lost to the Eagles in a close game, 6-8.

Citrus pieced together a couple of brief rallies in the 5th and the 7th to fight back against the offensive barrage of the Eagles, but couldn't regain the lead after the 6th inning and ultimately left a couple of key runners stranded in the 8th and 9th that could have changed the outcome.

Ethan Cummins, Teppei Fukuda and Kanta Kobayashi all posted 2 hits in the game. Fukuda and Cummins both posted doubles and Cummins posted 4 RBI's on 2 for 2 hitting. Kobayashi also snagged a couple of stolen bases.

The Owls slip to 1-7-1 on the season, their slowest start in years. Citrus will wait it out while the current rains wreak havoc on field playability.  For updated schedules and rain delay information, visit www.citrusowls.com.
