Citrus College got its bats hot but couldn't send runners home in a 7-3 loss to LA Valley Monday afternoon.
The Owls slip to 5-19 on the year and 1-8 in Western State Conference-South action, while the Monarchs improve to 16-9 overall and 8-1 in conference.
Four Owls finished the game with two hits: Devon Diaz (2-for-4), Nicholas Santiago (2-for-5), Chad Green (2-for-5) and Connor Green (2-for-3). Alex Hernandez, Jason Armendariz and Isaiah Pacheco also had hits for the Owls.
On the mound, Jake Entrup tossed three strikeouts, while Aaron Juarez and Kaj James each had two.
The Owls turn right around to host West LA on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m.
