Citrus Football Held To One Field Goal In Loss To Southwestern

Citrus College Football travelled to Chula Vista's Devore Stadium Saturday for a night game against the hosting Southwestern College Jaguars. The drive would home would be a long one for the Owls, who struggled offensively all night, dropping their 4th game of the season 16-3 and falling to 1-4 so far in 2017.

But the Owl defense put up decent numbers as they held Southwestern to just 12 total offensive yards on the night. Standouts for the Owl's defense were Boris Mulume who landed 10 total tackles as well as a sack to lead the defense, Henry Karimu who chipped in 6 tackles with 1 sack, and Eshon Gray with 7 stops in the game.

The Owl offense put up just 70 yards of total offense on the night, leaving the Citrus team with just a single field goal by kicker Diego Morales, a 27 yarder, on the scoreboard. Citrus will hope to turn around the momentum on the season as they host Victor Valley this Saturday at 1:00 PM at Citrus Stadium.
