Culver City, CA -- The Citrus College Men's Basketball team ran into a buzzsaw on Wednesday night when they travelled to West Los Angeles College. The Owls faltered out of the gate, and never recovered in a 80-72 loss.
The Owls watched as West LA came out the gate running shooting 45.2% from the floor. Conversely, Citrus went just 5 of 25 (20%) from the field in the first half as they fell into a 22-37 hole. Citrus fared much better in the second half converting 51.4% of their shots, but the deficit was too much for the Owls as the Wildcats still shot 53.8% over the final 20 minutes of play.
In the loss, Citrus was paced once again by freshman Ryan Wiley who scored a team high 20 points. Freshman Tyler LaCour added 13 points and seven boards, while sophomore Dominique Walker had 11 points.
