Citrus Men's Basketball is in the zone. The Owls extended their win streak to 8 games tonight as they shut down visiting LA Pierce in a one-sided victory that utilized much of the Citrus roster. The home team controlled the game from the get go, never trailing the entire game and padding the lead as things progressed.

Several Citrus players put up double digit points on the night. Leading the charge offensively for the Owls were Jeremy Smith and Miles Crawford who each drained 19 points, Kyle Gray with 14, Alexios Ziska with 12, and Quintin Bailey and Austin Clark who each chipped in 11 points. Throughout the season Citrus has given its opponents trouble from the three point line, and tonight was no exception, as 6 different players drained at least one three. Crawford continued his run of games with good percentages behind the arc with 4 threes on the night, and the Owls shot a combined 30% from deep.

Citrus continues to move up in the state rankings after key regional wins over the past few weeks, and are expected to continue strong play going into conference season starting in January. The Owls lace them up again this Thursday as they travel to Cypress College for a 6:00 PM tip off.
