MEN'S BASKETBALL: Five Owls Named All-WSC South Division

After winning its fourth-straight conference title, Citrus College saw five players pick up All-Western State Conference South Division honors Wednesday. Kendal Frey, Toby Okwuokei and Tyree Winborn all earned first team honors, while Leonard Turner and James Williams were named Honorable Mention.

Frey ended the regular-season averaging 10.0 points per game on a 40.8 shooting percentage. He also ranks second on the team with 1.7 assists per game and has scored 15 or more points in five of the last six games for the Owls.

Okwuokei sits second on the team with a 17.2 points per game average and leads the team with 3.8 assists per game. He has scored in double figures in all but four games this season for the Owls.

Winborn leads the Owls scoring 18.9 points per game on a 43.0 shooting percentage, including 37.7-percent from three-point range. He has scored in double figures in all but five games for Citrus, including back-to-back 30-point nights.

Turner averages 11.0 points per game on 55.1-percent shooting in his collegiate debut. He also ranks second on the team in rebounding, averaging 5.6 boards per game;.

Williams is one of the most effective shooters for the Owls, boasting a 54.4 shooting percentage. He leads the rebounding effort for Citrus, averaging 7.3 boards per game.
