No. 18-ranked Citrus College continued its hot shooting and led wire-to-wire en route to a 101-76 victory over the College of the Canyons.
The Owls improve to 11-5 overall and 2-1 in Western State Conference action, while the Cougars slip to 9-6, 1-2.
Five Owls finished the night scoring in double figures, led by Leonard Turner with 20 points (9-for-15). Cedric Reed caught fire early, making his first two shots from the perimeter, and finished with 18 points (6-for-12). Francis Dogani chipped in 16 points (5-for-9), while Chris Chiles added 14 points (4-for-6) and Jayden Johnston scored 11 points (3-for-9).
Aibigho Ujadughele grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds.
Citrus locked in on defense, forcing 20 turnovers which led to 23 points, and dominated the paint, outscoring Canyons 44-to-28 from close range.
Five minutes into the second half, Chiles grabbed an and-one to put Citrus up by 20 points, before Lance Rodrigues stole the ball away and found Ujadughele on the fast break to create even more distance, 67-45.
Canyons tried to claw back into the game but Citrus held onto the 101-76 victory.
The Owls head to Antelope Valley College on Saturday, tipping off at 5:00 p.m.
