Owls Place Season Best Third At Home Hosted Event

La Verne, CA -- The Citrus College Men's Golf team played host to the rest of the Western State Conference on Monday afternoon, and came away with their best finish. The Owls posted a combined score of 369, finishing third place out of the eight competing teams.

Sophomore Matt Nolan posted the Owls' best round on the day with a three under par 69. Nolan also finished tied for fourth individually out of the 48 competitors on the day. After Nolan it was a trio of two over par 74's. Freshman Takakazu Furukawa and sophomores Joshua Davis and Homerson So all posted the score. They were part of a six way log jam for the 14th best individual round for the day. Freshman Michael Kim rounded out the scoring on the day posting a 78, for just his second scoring round of the year.

The Owls will try and keep momentum from Tuesday's round going next weekend as they participate in the WSC Glendale Event at Oakmont Country Club. The first group is set to tee off at 11:00 AM.
