Gaynor and Bragger Lead Owl Effort at Pnoomonia Open

Victorville, CA -- Citrus College sophomore John Gaynor and freshman James Bragger combined to shoot a seven under par 65 at the 2015 Pnoomonia Open on Monday afternoon. The best-ball tournament pitted 10 teams from around Southern California, with the Owls tying for 6th Place.

After Gaynor and Bragger, freshman Samuel Mungiaterra and sophomore Justin Hung teamed up to shoot an even par 72. Freshmen Tyler Bliss and Tyler Hoefferle represented the third and final team for the Owls, and they came in the clubhouse with a one over par 73.

As a team, Citrus posted a team score of 210, tying them for sixth place with Palomar College. The Owls finished just one stroke behind fifth place Ventura College, two stroked back of fourth place Mt. San Jacinto College, and five strokes back of third place College of the Desert.

The Owls will be back out on the links this coming Monday when they open up Western State Conference action at the WSC Event hosted by College of the Canyons. Tee-time is set for 10:00 AM Valencia Country Club.
