San Jacinto, CA -- Through five events so far during the 2015 Citrus College Men's Golf season, a different individual has stepped in each of the events. This time it was the Hoeff for the Owls, as freshman Tyler Hoefferle fired a two-under par 70 to lead Citrus to a 6th place finish out of 16 teams.

Hoefferle's round of 70, was the third lowest score of the day, and put him in a three way tie for 4th place overall out of over 90 golfers. Hoefferle was the only Owl in the Top 25 on the day, but Citrus had a strong day overall. Freshman Tyler Bliss came into the clubhouse with a respectable 77, while a trio of 78's were right behind him. Freshmen Samuel Mangiaterra and Charles Ornelas, along with sophomore Justin Hung were responsible for the 78's as Citrus posted a team score of 381.

The 381 was the 6th best team score of the day, as Citrus finished just three strokes back of 5th place Ventura College. The 5th – 10th place spots was a tight race, as 11 strokes separated 5th place from 10th place.

The Owls will resume Western state Conference play on Monday when they travel up the 5 Freeway to the 99 to take part in the WSC Bakersfield Event at Rio Bravo Country Club. The first group is set to tee-off at 10:00 AM.
