Lompoc, CA -- After two straight weeks of strong play at WSC Events, the Citrus College Men's Golf team took a break from conference action to take part in the Pt. Concpetion Open over the weekend. Battling bad weather, and stiff competition, the Owls limped to a 13th place finish.

For the third straight week, sophomore Justin Hung was again the leader in the clubhouse. Hung went 79 and 76 over the two days, the low Owl score for both days. Hung finished with a round of 155, 13 strokes better than his closest teammate. Sophomore John Gaynor was next up, posting rounds of 80 and 88 for a combined 168. Freshman Samuel Mangiaterra went 89 and 83, while freshman James Bragger posted rounds of 88 and 85. As a team, the Owls shot a combined 422 on the first day, before rallying with a 418 on day number two.

Citrus will be back out on the links this coming Monday when they take part in the WSC Ventura Event. Tee-time is set for 11:00 AM at River Ridge Golf Course in Oxnard.
