Dooley and Bliss Pace Owls at WSC Glendale

Glendale, CA - In what ended up being a beautiful afternoon out at Oakmont Country Club, Citrus College freshman Brandon Dooley and sophomore Tyler Bliss each fired rounds of 76 on a tough course to pace the Owls effort. Despite the strong start by those two, the Owls finished in fourth place once again.

Sophomore Benjamin Bencomo came into the clubhouse six back of the two Owl leaders with an 82. Sophomore Tyler Hoefferle followed that up with a 86, while freshman Trevor Perry posted the fifth and final scoring round for Citrus with a 87 for a combined team score of 407.

The Owls would finish nine strokes back of third place Ventura College and just six strokes in front of Glendale College, who was playing on their home course. Bliss and Dooley would finish in a four way tie individually for fourth lowest round of the day.

Citrus has one regular season match left on it's 2016 schedule. The WSC Neutral Site Event is set to take place at Bear Creek Golf Club in Murrieta this coming Monday the 18th at 7:00 AM.
