Golfers Post Season Best Rounds At San Dimas Canyon

The Citrus Men's Golf team took its turn hosting the WSC Conference at its home turf yesterday, San Dimas Canyon Golf Course. The 18-hole rounds marked the 10th contest of the year for the Owls, and the last of the 2018 regular conference season. Citrus will move on to the WSC finals at Crystalaire Golf Course in Llano this Monday.

At San Dimas Canyon yesterday, 3 Citrus golfers beat or tied their season best scores. Kameron Marilion, the current leader amongst the Owl golfers in season average (89.88) beat his season best, shooting an 82 and improving on his previous best 88 at Santa Barbara back in mid February. Brandon Martin, the #4 Owl in season average, tied his best score of the year with an 89, the first of the two 89 rounds coming just last week at Allan Hancock. Lastly, Orion Higgins took 5 strokes off of his best 2018 round with an impressive 84, his previous best being an 89.

Although the Owls are in a down year as far as team ranking in conference, the guys have all shown drastic improvements over the season. As a team, Citrus has taken 18 strokes off its collective average from the beginning of the year and every golfer has improved overall as the season has progressed.
