Citrus College is moving onto the SoCal Championship as a team as an at-large bid after competing at the Western State Conference Championship.

The Owls posted the third-best score in the first round (379) and followed with a 391 in round two.

Cortez Herrera had the best first round of the tournament, carding a 67 as the only golfer under 70. He couldn't carry that into the second round, however, finishing with a 78 in the second round.

Kerry Valenzuela followed with another stellar performance. He carded a 76 in the first round and a 74 in the second, while John Dearth finished with a 76 in round one and a 77 in round two. Devin Mount posted 80s in both rounds, Matt Ibarra finished with an 80 and 82, and Matt Ramirez rounded out the Owls with 82 in round two, shaving 10 strokes off his first-round score (92).

Dearth and Herrera were named to the All-WSC team after both placed in the top-10 on the individual standings. Dearth finished the regular season averaging a 74.44, while Herrera averages a 75.33.

The Owls head to the SoCal Championship on May 9th at Olivas Golf Course, which was a good course for Citrus earlier this year.
