Owls Take Second on Home Course

Citrus College hosted the fifth Western State Conference meet of the year and matched its season-best score of 386 to take second place as a team.

College of the Canyons won the event with a 372 and Glendale College was just one stroke off the Owls with a 387.

Ashtin Mount had his best showing of the year, carding a 74 to tie for fifth individually. Daichi Nishisu was right on his tail with a 76, while Chris Ruiz was one stroke behind with a 77. Kabir Chadha posted a 78 and Lorenzo Herrera rounded out the scorers with an 81. Matthew Ibarra was the drop score for the Owls with an 82.

Citrus continues conference action next week at the Bakersfield Country Club, teeing off at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 3.
