Regional Playoffs Mark End of the Road For Conference Champs

One week after clinching its first ever conference championship, the Men's Soccer team went to task in the first round of the Southern California Regional Championships. The Owls went into the bracket seeded 15th, a tough spot to be in as their matchup ended up being #2 Mt. San Antonio College. Mt. SAC would prove worthy of that seed as they dispatched Citrus 5-0, eliminating the Owls and moving onto the second round.

The Owls will lose 11 sophomores from this year's roster, putting the pressure on long time veteran Head Coach Fred Bruce-Oliver and tenured Assistant Coach Jason Schmelzeisen to identify and land a strong Freshman class to fill the voids. The Owls do return a very strong class of Freshmen, including several starters from this year's team. With a conference title under its belt, the Men's Soccer program will set its sights on a repeat in 2018.
