CIF Honors Men's Soccer Player Reymundo Orrosquieta as a Champion For Character

Sophomore Men's Soccer player Reymundo Orrosquieta, who is also a multi-sport coach at Azusa High School, was honored last week at the 16th Annual Jim Staunton CIF Champions For Character ceremony. The award honors the student-athletes, coaches, administrators and member schools who represent excellent sportsmanship and outstanding character in the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF), the state governing body for prep athletics.

The Owl striker not only competes on the soccer field for Citrus College, but Orrosquieta also has over ten years of experience as a coach. Reymundo was honored for his coaching work at Azusa High School. He has been coaching at Azusa for the better part of a decade now, and is an integral part of the Boy's Soccer, Cross Country, and Track and Field teams.

On behalf of the Citrus College, the Citrus Athletics staff, administration, coaches, and student-athletes, we would like to congratulate Rey on his dedication to young student athletes in our community, and his undying efforts here at Citrus as a student-athlete himself. Hoot hoot Rey!
