Men's Polo Swims Into SoCal Regionals

Citrus Men's Polo has qualified for the Southern California Regional Championships this Thursday-Saturday at Cerritos College. The guys will dive in tomorrow at 1:00 PM to take on Cuesta and take a shot at the title.

The SoCal Regionals are a 3-round, single elimination tournament that spans three days. The winner of the tournament gets an automatic bid to the CCCAA State Championships . Citrus takes on Cuesta just days after the Cougars knocked the Owls out of contention for the WSC Conference title last Friday at Santa Monica College. The Owls will undoubtedly make adjustments to maximize their chances.

Citrus has had a solid season under new Head Coach Erick Gonzalez, even after a late start for the 1st year coach and the loss of some key players from the 2017 roster. The Owls have gone 13-9 overall with a 3-2 conference mark, and captured 3rd place conference honors in a win over Santa Monica on Saturday.

Ketih Green, the Owls offensive leader and top ranked scorer, should prove to be fun to watch as he rounds out his career at Citrus. Also look to veteran Noah Fonacier, and offesnive weapons Anthony AlacornPeyton Alonzo,  Jordan Scott and Dominik Powell to make siginificant impacts.

Cuesta, who enters the matchup as the runner up in the WSC (behind LA Valley), is 21-9 overall with a 3-2 conference record to match that of Citrus.
