Paredez Takes Over Citrus Softball for Boxley

Glendora, CA - Longtime Citrus College Assistant Softball Coach Terry Paredez has been named the new Head Coach of the Citrus College Softball program. Paredez takes over for Jackie Boxley, who presided over the Owls for the most successful stretch in program history. Boxley stepped down from the dugout at the conclusion of the 2017 season and has accepted a role as an Assistant Athletic Director at Citrus College.
Nua Signs with Fresno State

Glendora, CA - Citrus College sophomore softball player Jade Nua has signed a scholarship offer with NCAA DI Fresno State University. Nua is the first Owl from the 2017 team to sign a scholarship offer.
Nua Named NFCA All-American

Glendora, CA - Citrus College sophomore first baseman Jade Nua was named a National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-American recently. Nua earned the honors after a historic 2017 campaign, in which she was named the Western State Conference East Player of the Year, and a California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association All-State selection. She is just the fifth player in Citrus College Softball history to earn the honor.
Owls Fantastic 2017 Comes to End at Cerritos

Norwalk, CA - The Citrus College Softball team’s fantastic 2017 campaign came to an end on Saturday afternoon. The Owls were mercied for the second straight day by #7 seed Cerritos College, 9-1 in six innings ending their post-season run in the regional round.
Doubled and Downed

Cerritos, CA - The Citrus College Softball team gave up five doubles and committed five errors and were mercy ruled on Friday afternoon in the first game of their best 2-of-3 series with #7 Cerritos College in the opening round of the 2017 CCCAA Southern California Playoffs. The Owls managed just as many hits and they committed errors and fell in five innings 14-4.
Regional Round Preview: #10 Citrus College at #7 Cerritos College

A preview of this weekend’s regional round best two-of-three series between #10 Citrus College and #7 Cerritos College in Norwalk in the 2017 California Community College Athletic Association Southern California Playoffs. Game #1 is set for a 2:00 PM first pitch on Friday, while Game #2 is one for 12:00 PM on Saturday with a third and final tilt set 20 minutes following game two if necessary.
10 Owls Named to All-WSC East Team; Nua is WSC East Player of the Year & All-State

Glendora, CA - After a 2017 season in which the Citrus College Softball team went 24-14 and 13-5 in WSC East play for second place, the Owls had 10 players named to the All-WSC East team. That included sophomore Jade Nua whose outstanding 2017 campaign got her named Co-MVP of the WSC East and an California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association All-State selection.

Glendora, CA - After a year’s absence, the Citrus College Softball team is back in the California Community College Athletic Association Southern California Softball Playoffs. The Owls earned the #10 overall seed and will travel to #7 Cerritos College for a best two out of three series this weekend.
Owls Lose a Pair of Heartbreakers at Antelope Valley

Lancaster, CA - The Citrus College Softball team went into Tuesday’s double-header knowing that they couldn’t claim a WSC East crown, but that they could improve their position in the upcoming CCCAA Playoffs. While the Owls may have made a statement that their offense is for real, they couldn’t hold off a very good Marauder squad who rallied for two wins against the Owls on Tuesday 14-10 and 17-16.

Glendora, CA - The Citrus College Softball team ended their 2017 home slate with a bang on Thursday afternoon. The Owls routed visiting Los Angeles Valley College 16-0, using 12 hits, half of which went for extra bases.
Softball Takes Two From Glendale

Glendale, CA - The Citrus College Softball team took two at Glendale College on Tuesday afternoon. The Owls started slow but won going away in the first game, and used a three run seventh in the second game to secure a one run victory.
Nua Named February Female State Athlete of the Month

Citrus College Sophomore Jade Nua was recently named the California Community College Athletic Association and California Community College Sports Information Association Female State Athlete of the Month for her outstanding month of February. Nua is just fifth Citrus student-athlete to win the award in it's 12-year history.
Owls Take Hold of Second Place With Mercy of Canyons

Glendora, CA - In an important Western State Conference East Division match-up, the Owls took hold of second place in the conference with a 11-3 six-inning mercy rule win over visiting College of the Canyons. Citrus came up with 12 hits, and held a tough Cougar offense to just three scores in the win.

Glendora, CA - The Citrus College Softball team swept visiting Victor Valley College in Western State Conference East Division action on Tuesday afternoon. The Owls outscored the Rams 22-2, winning both games 11-2 in five innings.

Glendora, CA - The Citrus College Softball, dropped a tough one on Thursday afternoon, to a solid San Bernardino Valley College squad. Citrus mustered just five total hits, and couldn’t get the offense rolling against a good team in their 5-2 set back.
