Citrus softball lost a road trip contest at LA Valley yesterday, 3-7. The loss moves the Owls into 5th place in the WSC East, 1 spot behind LA Valley.

Citrus struggled to contain the Monarch offense from the get go as they dropped 5 runs in the first inning. There were bright spots here and there throughout the contest, including Giavanna Muenz's 2 for 2 day at the plate and Shania Carlin's 3 hits and 2 runs.

Citrus will continue a busy schedule this week as it hosts Glendale today at 2:30, a rescheduled conference game from the March 22nd rainout; Canyons visits tomorrow at 2:30 and Cerritos comes to town for a 1:00 game on Friday, only to have the Owls turn around and travel to Fullerton for a 2:30 game on Saturday.
