Softball SoCal Regionals: Owls hit the end of the road for 2019

The end of the road has come for Citrus Softball's 2019 campaign. The Owls played game 2 of a best-of-3 series against host Palomar College on Saturday. The Pilots took the 1st game on Friday 4-0, and completed the series shutout of the Owls with the 5-0 win on Saturday.

The Palomar pitching staff made short work of the Citrus offense on Saturday, allowing just 3 hits, 1 walk and no runs. The Owls struggled to ignite at the plate throughout the series, recording a total of 4 total base hits.

Giavanna Muenz, Emily Paredez and Megan Jones each posted base hits, with Jones smacking a 2-bagger in the bottom of the 4th, but she was left stranded.

The Owls wrap up 2019 with an overall record of 21-21 and a WSC East conference record of 9-5.
