Owls Upended by Ventura Again

Santa Clarita, CA - The Citrus College Women's Basketball team faced State #? Ventura College for the second time this year on Friday afternoon. The result was unfortunately much of the same as the Pirates lead wire to wire in a 45-78 setback for the Owls.

 Ventura came out and opened the game on a 15-3 run and never looked back against Citrus. The  Owls trailed 17-39 at the break. Citrus did have a better second half, getting outscored by just one in the third, and 10 in the fourth, but nothing close to what they needed in the game.

In the loss, sophomore Marisa Brown paced the way with 17 points and seven boards. Sophomore Jessica Rosas added 11 points, eight rebounds, and three assists. With the loss, Citrus drops to 2-12 on the year. The Owls will be back in action again on Saturday when they take on College of the Canyons at Canyons at 5:00 PM.
