Owls Finish Fifth at WSC Glendale

Glendale, CA (Women's Golf) -- The Citrus College Women's Golf team finished fifth again on Monday afternoon at the WSC Event hosted by Glendale College. Sophomore Hannah Thurston, who has seen steady improvement over the course of the season, came in with a season low to highlight things for the Owls.

Thurston shot a 112 on Monday, besting her previous best effort by four strokes. She also came in fourth for the Owls, the first time she's finished in a scoring position for Citrus. Freshman Kandace Delgado again was the Owls' top golfer with a 99. Sophomore Melissa Salas finished three strokes back of her at 102, and sophomore Berenice Yang Gonzalez kept her good will from the previous week going as she shot a 109.

Citrus will be back out on the course next Monday when they take part in the final regular season conference event of the year, the WSC Neutral Site. Tee-time is set for 11:30 AM at Tierra Rejada Golf Course in Moorpark.
