Another Fifth Place Finish for Owls

Moorpark, CA -- The Citrus College Women's Golf team finished in fifth place against on Monday afternoon as they took part in the Western State Conference Neutral Site Event at Tierra Rejada Golf Course. The Owls put up their second lowest team total of the year, and finished just eight strokes out of fourth place with a 411.

Freshman Kandace Delgado continued to lead Citrus into the clubhouse as she shot a 93. Sophomore Melissa Salas brought in a 100, while freshman Kristen Masters had her best round of the year with a 107. Sophomore Berenice Yang-Gonzalez rounded out the scoring with a 111.

Citrus will wrap up the 2012 regular season next weekend when they take part in the WSC Championships. Day one will kick off on Sunday at Sundale Country Club, with a tee-time of 10:00 AM, while round two will take place on Monday at 10:00 AM at Kern River Golf Course, both in Bakersfield.
