Suwantanma Takes 20th at State

Tracy, CA -- Citrus College freshman women’s golfer Paramee Suwantanma wrapped up her 2013 season on Tuesday at the California Community College Athletic Association State Championships. Suwantanma finished a stellar freshman campaign by taking 20th overall.

Suwantanma Advances to CCCAA State Championships

Solvang, CA -- Citrus College freshman women’s golfer Paramee Suwantanma became just the second Citrus College Women’s Golfer in program history to advance to the California Community College Athletic Association State Championships this past weekend thanks to her performance at the Southern California Championships. Suwantanma finished 12th out of all competing golfers, but was third of those competing without teams.

Suwantanma Qualifies for SoCals

Solvang, CA -- Freshman golfer Paramee Suwantanma became the first Citrus College Women’s Golfer to qualify for the Southern California Championships since current assistant coach Caitlin Smith did so in 2009. Suwantanma finished in second place overall at the 2013 Western State Conference Championships on Sunday and Monday.

Sophomore Marisa Piceno had her best round of the season last week at the WSC Glendale Event.
Owls Shoot Team WSC Low Round of Year; Still Third

Pasadena, CA -- The Citrus College Women’s Golf team shot their lowest combined team round of their 2013 conference schedule last Monday afternoon at the WSC Glendale Event. Citrus shot a 354, which was three strokes lower than their previous week’s effort, but still had to settle for third place overall.

Sophomore Kristen Masters had her second best round of the year on Monday at the WSC Santa Barbara Event.
WSC Santa Barbara Finds Owls in Third Again

Santa Barbara, CA -- The Citrus College Women’s Golf team headed up the coast this past Monday and participated in the Western State Conference event hosted by Santa Barbara City College at Santa Barbara Golf Course. The Owls just missed out on their best finish of the year, and instead found themselves finishing in a respectable third place yet again.

Rain Shortened Day, Leaves Owls in 3rd

San Dimas, CA -- The Citrus College Women’s Golf team hosted their annual conference event on Wednesday afternoon on a rain soaked day. The wet weather forced the event to finish up after just nine holes, as the Owls finished third on the shortened day.

Sophomore Kandace Delgado led the Owls' effort at the North South Invite at the beginning of the week.
Down But Not Out

Morro Bay, CA -- The Citrus College Women’s Golf team was down their best player at this weekend’s North South Invitational, but they weren’t out. The Owls finished a respectable 12th out of 20 participating teams in the two day tournament on California’s Central Coast.

Bakersfield, CA -- Scores were high all around on Monday afternoon at the Western State Conference Event hosted by Bakersfield College. No one broke 80, and the Owls finished in third place overall edging the host Renegades by three strokes to claim third place.

Struggle at Simi Hills

Simi Valley, CA -- The Citrus College Women’s Golf team didn’t have their best showing on Monday afternoon in their Western State Conference Match hosted by College of the Canyons. The Owls struggled at Simi Hills Golf Course and found themselves in last place.

Sophomore Deondra Alcantara went 83 and 96 at the two day South Coast Tournament early this week.
Owls Get Mixed Results at South Coast Tournament

Ventura, CA -- After a strong start at the Desert Classic Tournament last weekend, the Citrus College Women’s Golf team got some mixed results at the South Coast Tournament on Sunday and Monday. After a good day one, the Owls didn’t post such a great round on day two as they finished 8th out of the 9 scoring teams.

Owls Impress in First Tournament of the Season

Palm Springs, CA -- The Citrus College Women’s Golf team got off to a strong start over the weekend as they had their strongest team showing in quite some time. The Owls impressed with a 6th place finish out of 13 competing teams, and had two individuals place in the Top 25.
