Rain Shortened Day, Leaves Owls in 3rd

San Dimas, CA -- The Citrus College Women's Golf team hosted their annual conference event on Wednesday afternoon on a rain soaked day. The wet weather forced the event to finish up after just nine holes, as the Owls finished third on the shortened day.

Freshman Paramee Suwantanma paced the Owls on the day. Suwantanma fired a 41 over the first nine holes, giving her a 82 on the day after double the first half totals. It was tied for the 4th best round of the afternoon. Sophomore Kandace Delgado came in with a 94, but had just been gaining steam as she came to the turn. Sophomore Deondra Alcantara posted a 98, and sophomores Kristen Masters and Marisa Piceno posted 102's to round out the Owl scoring effort.

Citrus will be back out the links for what is hopefully a complete round this coming Monday when they head to Santa Barbara for the WSC event hosted by Santa Barbara City College. Tee-time is set for 10:30 AM at Santa Barbara Community Golf Course.
