Women's Golf Swings Up to Ventura For Two Day Stand

Citrus Women's Golf got into full swing this weekend when they travelled to Ventura for the South Coast Classic, a two day event. The two18 hole rounds on Sunday and Monday counted as the Western State Conference's #1 and #2 matches for 2019. The Owls saw some of the top individuals and teams in California all in one place, as the conference rivals squared off at the Buenaventura Golf Course in Ventura.

Three of the four Citrus golfers posted improved scores from day one to day two, with the largest improvements coming from Emily Ramirez and Giselle Moran, who each dropped their scores by 12 strokes. The best round of the weekend was posted by Moran, an 89 on day two.

The foursome will bust out their clubs again on September 9th in Santa Barbara at the Santa Barbara City Golf Course for WSC Match #3. Tee off times start at 10:00 AM.
