Bio

Julian "Trip" Horton became the Citrus College Head Women's Golf Coach in 2011 and also serves as the head men's golf coach, which he took over in 2015.

During the 2014 campaign, Horton had two players qualify as individuals for the 2014 CCCAA State Championships where then-freshmen Jamie Lopez and Lexandra So finished in third and fourth place overall. Earlier in the year, So would win the 2014 WSC Individual Championships and the 2014 CCCAA SoCal Championships, while Lopez finished in fourth and third respectively. 

In 2015, Horton took the Owls even further, as Citrus qualified for the 2015 CCCAA State Championships as a team. Citrus went on to finish as the State Runner-Up. Individually, Horton helped Coach Lopez to a second-place individual finish at the 2015 CCCAA State Championships and So to a fourth-place finish. 

An alumnus of Citrus, Horton attended Cal Poly Pomona where he graduated in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in communications. Along with his duties with the men’s and women’s teams, Horton also works as the Citrus College Athletic Department Facilities Supervisor.

Horton and his wife Janelle, reside in Rancho Cucamonga with their three daughters
