Women's Soccer Held Scoreless in Season Opener

Oxnard, CA (Women's Soccer) -- Despite dominating the play on the pitch for the majority of the 90 minutes on Saturday afternoon, the Citrus College Women's Soccer team had to settled for a tie in their season opener 0-0 with Antelope Valley.

Citrus dictated the pace of play on Saturday and kept possession of the ball for the vast majority of the contest. The Owls fired off 10 shots on goal against the Marauders, but were held scoreless. Sophomore Alyssa Lozano got the call in goal for Citrus and did her part. Lozano faced just one shot on goal the entire match, but recorded the save in order to preserve the tie.

With the tie, Citrus' record starts off a 0-0-1. The Owls will be back out on the field at Oxnard on Sunday afternoon when they take on Sacramento City College at 12:00 PM.
