Owls Strong Start Continues at Oxnard

Oxnard, CA (Women's Soccer) -- The Citrus College Women's Soccer team continued their strong start to their 2012 season on Tuesday afternoon with a 1-0 win at Oxnard College. The win closed up an unblemished pre-conference schedule for the Owls for just the second time in program history.

The Owls scored early on Tuesday and then was shut out the remainder of the way. Sophomore Julia Wills scored for the second straight game when she netted the ball in the 13th minute with an assist from sophomore Jasmine Williams. It's was the third goal of the season for Wills. Meanwhile, sophomore keeper Alyssa Lozano held down the Owls' goal, with her second shutout of the season.

With the win, Citrus improves to 4-0-2 on the season. The Owls will begin Western State Conference South Division play next Tuesday when they take on Glendale College at home. First touch is set for 6:00 PM.
