Glendora, CA (Women's Soccer) -- The Citrus College Women's Soccer team opened up their 2012 Western State Conference South Division schedule on Tuesday night and did so impressively. The Owls dominated the visiting Glendale College Vaqueros in a 3-0 win.

The Owls took care of business Tuesday night and did so thanks to dominating the ball throughout the contest. Citrus out-shot Glendale 27-0 and framed 10 shots on goal in the contest. In addition that Owls had 16 corner kicks compared to just one, including an 11-1 advantage in the second half.
Sophomore Julia Wills, who took a team high five shots on the day, got things going in the 16th minute when she took a pass from freshman Jessica Tullius and buried it to make it 1-0. The Owls would be held scoreless for the remainder of the first half, but would get it going quickly in the second half.
Sophomore Elizabeth Johnson scored her first of the year when finished an assist from Wills in the 52nd minute to make it 2-0. Sophomore Vanessa Plascencia rounded out the scoring when she took a pass from freshman Valerie Flores and put the ball in the upper right hand corner of the net to make it 3-0.
With the win, Citrus improves to 5-0-2 on the year and 1-0 in WSC South Play. The Owls will be on the road this Friday when they face one of their toughest tests to date in a conference clash. Citrus will take on Santa Monica in Santa Monica with kick-off set for 1:00 PM.
