Women's Soccer: Win Over Bakersfield Keeps Owls Perfect in WSC South

Women's Soccer played its 3rd Western State Conference South game of the 2019 season on Tuesday in a road trip to Bakersfield. The Owls topped the Renegades 3-2, winning their 3rd straight and staying a perfect 3-0 in conference play so far. 

The Owls gave up an early goal to Bakersfield, in the 1st minute of play. But Citrus quickly recovered, scoring for the first time in the 28th minute on a goal by Monica Perez, then in the 48th minute on a goal by Amethyst Trang. The Owls would hold on to keep the 2-1 lead going into halftime. 

In the 2nd half, Isabela DeLeon made the score 3-1 when she found the back of the goal in the 80th minute. Citrus wold give up a quick Renegade goal after that and then hang on to beat the home team 3-2. 

Citrus moves to 3-0 in conference and 6-4 overall. The Owls play again on Friday at home when they host Santa Monica for a conference game. Kickoff is at 3:00 PM in the stadium.
