Citrus College capped the regular season with an exclamation point as it picked up an 8-0 blanking over West LA.
The Owls improve to 11-5-4 overall and 6-3-3 in the Western State Conference-South heading into the postseason. The Wildcats drop to 6-12-2, 4-7-1.
Eight different Owls scored in the victory, with Elisa Salas opening the flood gates in the ninth minute off a Jade Poveda pass.
Ten minutes later, Kaylee Sanchez got on the other end of a Poveda assist to double Citrus' lead.
Riley Van Der Loo found the back of the net in the 28th minute to send the Owls into halftime holding a 3-0 lead.
Citrus struck again in the 53rd minute as Abigail Salvador capitalized off a double assist from Emily Velasquez Vasquez and Poveda, before Poveda got on the other end of the ball with a goal of her own in the 59th minute, 5-0.
Berenice Mancinas (83') and Angelyna Alvarado (84') scored within two minutes of each other and Kiana Ramirez put the final dagger in with a goal less than a minute before the final whistle blew.
