Glendora, CA -- Citrus College freshman swimmer Miranda Furuto was named a California Community College Athletic Association All-American this past weekend. Furuto is the first Owl to earn the honor since Dana Parisa was named an All-American back in 2007.

Furuto Finishes Up Swim Season at State Championships

Monterrey Park, CA -- Citrus College freshman swimmer Miranda Furuto finished up the 2015 swim season over the weekend at the 2015 California Community College Athletic Association Swim and Dive State Championships. Furuto competed in three events, qualifying for the finals in two.

The Owls cheer on their teammates on the final day of the 2015 WSC Swim Championships. Citrus came up with it's best finish in recent memory, finishing in fifth place out of ten teams.

Ventura, CA — The Citrus College Women’s Swim program had one of it’s strongest team showings in program history at the 2015 Western State Conference Swimming Championships. After finishing in eight place in it’s inaugural season back two years ago and ninth place last year, the Owls finished in fifth place out of 10 teams at this year’s conference championships and were just 6.5 points shy of a fourth place finish and 25 points shy of a Top 3 finish.

Ventura, CA — The Citrus College Swim team kept pace with the rest of the pack on Friday evening at the 2015 Western State Conference Swimming Championships. The Owls added 157 points to their overall point total and sit just 20 points outside a top four finish.

The Owls opened up the first day of the 2015 WSC Championship by doubling their team total at the same time last year.

Ventura, CA -- The Citrus College Women’s Swim team opened up the first day of the Western State Conference Championships with a strong start. Citrus accumulated 69 points during the first day’s action, double what they did in 2014.

Pasadena, CA -- Facing arguably the stiffest competition from around the State, the Citrus College Women's Swim program finished up it's regular season schedule this past weekend at the 2015 Pasadena City College Invitational. The Owls had a number of strong performances and were paced by freshmen Miranda Furuto and Cassidy Miller.

Glendora, CA -- Citrus College freshman swimmer Natasha Martinez has been selected to intern for United States Congresswoman Grace F. Napolitano this coming summer. Napolitano represents the 32nd District here in Southern California and has an office based in El Monte.

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Women’s Swim team played host to four other schools from around the Western State Conference on Friday afternoon in the WSC Meet #2 Double-Dual. The Owls fared well, defeating three of the four schools, and losing to the fourth by a single point.

Valley Glen, CA -- The Citrus College Women’s Swim team opened up Western State Conference Dual Meet action last Friday afternoon when they travelled to Los Angeles Valley College to take on the Monarchs as well as Santa Monica, Bakersfield, and Santa Barbara City Colleges. The Owls fared well against some stiff competition, going 2-2.

Walnut, CA -- The Citrus College Women’s Swim program participated in their second event of their 2015 schedule over Friday and Saturday when they participated in the 2015 Mt. San Antonio College Invitational. The Owls had a solid weekend, amassing 183 points and finishing in 9th place out of the 14 competing teams.

Valley Glen, CA -- Citrus College freshman Miranda Furuto headlined the Citrus College effort at the 2015 Western State Conference Pentathlon that kicked off the 2015 for the Citrus College Women’s Swim program. Furuto finished 6th in the five event challenge that featured over 125 swimmers from around the WSC.
