Furuto Finishes Up Swim Season at State Championships

Monterrey Park, CA -- Citrus College freshman swimmer Miranda Furuto finished up the 2015 swim season over the weekend at the 2015 California Community College Athletic Association Swim and Dive State Championships. Furuto competed in three events, qualifying for the finals in two.

The week started on Thursday when Furuto competed in the 50 Free. Furuto posted a time of 25.47 seconds in the event, which would have been just two one-hundredths of a second off of her seed time. Unfortunately Furuto was disqualified for leaving a hair early out of the blocks.
