The Citrus College Athletics Department will be fielding a men's swim team for the upcoming 2018 season.
Owls to Bring Back Men’s Swim in Spring of 2018

Glendora, CA - The Citrus College Athletics Department is pleased to announce that it will once again be fielding a men’s swim team beginning in the Spring of 2018. The Owls last fielded a men’s swim team back in 2010. Head Women’s Swim Coach Jennifer Spalding will also helm the men’s program.

Women’s Swim is Fifth at WSC Championships

Santa Maria, CA - The Citrus College Women’s Swim program closed out their 2017 campaign with strong fifth place showing at the 2017 Western State Conference Swim and Dive Championships. It’s matches the highest finish for Citrus College since the 2007 season.

Freshman Hunter Olivier had a 4th Place finish in the 50 Free and a 3rd Place finish in the 100 free for the Owls at the RCC Invite.

Riverside, CA - The Citrus College Women’s Swim team continued its strong 2017 campaign over the weekend at the Riverside City College Invitational. Against some of the best programs in the area, the Owls finished a respectable fourth out of the seven competing teams, falling just 13 points shy of overtaking third place Palomar College.

Sophomore Marissa Kasnetsis had a third place finish, second place finish, and was a member of a third place relay team in helping the Owls win their first meet in recent memory.

Santa Monica, CA - The Citrus College Women’s Swim team took on College of the Canyons, Los Angeles Pierce College, host Santa Monica College, and Los Angeles Valley College on Friday afternoon, and for the first time in recent memory came home with the #1 spot. The Owls had a number of top performances, and outpointed their conference foes for the win on the afternoon.

Freshman Clarissa Romero continued to shed time in the backstroke and helped the Owls take the top two spots in the 100 Back at WSC #2.

Woodland Hills, CA - The Citrus College Women’s Swim team continued it’s 2017 campaign on Friday afternoon when it participated in the WSC #2 Event hosted by Los Angeles Pierce College that included the Owls, the host Brahmas, and Allan Hancock, Bakersfield, Santa Barbara City, and Ventura Colleges. The Owls finished a respectable third on the afternoon, besting the Bulldogs and Brahmas, but falling just shy of Vaqueros and Pirates.

Freshman Jessica Carmody was a part of three Top 5 finishing relay teams, and finished in 8th in the 200 Breast at the 2017 Chaffey Invite.

Rancho Cucamonga, CA - The Citrus College Women’s Swim team had an outstanding weekend at the 2017 Chaffey Invitational. The Owls had numerous Top 10 finishes and finished in 5th place out of the 10 competing teams.

Freshman Victoria Pena had two second place finished and was a member of the first place 200 Free Relay team at the WSC #1 Meet hosted by Ventura College on Friday.

Ventura, CA - Freshman Victoria Pena helped pace the Owls at their first conference quad meet of the season last weekend. Pena had a pair of Top 2 finishes and was a member of the 200 Free Relay team that finished in first place.

Walnut, CA - Freshman Megan Card was the top performer for the Citrus College Women’s Swim team over the past weekend at the annual Mt. San Antonio College Swim and Dive Invitational. The freshman had three Top 20 performances.

Freshman Hunter Olivier posted the second best finish by an individual at the annual WSC Pentathlon with her 12th place finish over the weekend.

Ventura, CA – The Citrus College Women’s Swim team kicked off their 2017 season over the weekend when they participated in the annual WSC Pentathlon. Freshman Hunter Olivier and sophomore Marisa Kasnetsis paced the Owls at the event, which has all individuals swim 100 yards each of the fly, back, breast, free, and individual medley.
