Citrus Swimmers Travel To LA Valley

The Citrus Men's and Women's Swim Teams will travel to LA Valley College today for the Western State Conference meet #3. The Owls return to the pool after a week off following the WSC #2 meet in Bakersfield March 17th, where they place a respectable 5th as a combined team, with the Women placing 5th and the Men placing 7th. 

Some individuals put together solid point totals. On the Women's side, Citrus Water Polo All American Hunter Olivier compiled 35 points on the day, taking 1st in the 200 Free and 4th in the 500 Free; Jessica Carmody, another Citrus Polo standout, taking a 4th in the 100 Freestyle and 7th in the 200 Free for a total of 27 points; Megan Card snagged up a 3rd in the 100 Backstroke. For the men, Carlos Franco swam a 4:51.38 in the 400 Individual Medley, which was good enough for a 4th place finish; Moises Lomeli snagged 14 points on a 5th place finish in the 200 Freestyle. 

The Owls are approcahing the end of Conference Meet competition and will slide into Conference Championships mode in April.
