Women's Volleyball: Five-Set Barn Burner Goes To The Owls

Citrus Volleyball played a Western State Conference South Division match on Friday. The Owls travelled to Antelope Valley College and took down the Marauders in a five-set doozy that ended in the Owls' 6th conference win of the season.

Nia Nix, Citrus' main offensive weapon, posted 31 kills in the victory to lead all hitters. Setter Vanessa Warren had 33 assists in the match and scooped up 11 digs, tied for the game high with Libero Aaliyah Robles. Summer Edington notched 15 kills in the match, setting her season high. 

The Owls move up to 6-4 in conference with just 2 more WSC South games to go. The win solidifies the Owls in the #3 spot in the conference. Overall, the ladies are 9-15 on the season. 

Citrus takes on Canyons on Wednesday at 6:00 at home.
