Women’s Volleyball: Nix, Robles, Rogers, and Warren Named All-WSC

Glendora, CA - The Citrus College Volleyball team closed out their 2019 season officially with four student-athletes being named All-Western State Conference South Division. Sophomore outside hitter Nia Nix led the way with a 1st team selection, while freshman libero Aaliyah Robles was a 2nd team honoree. Rounding out the accolades were sophomore middle blocker Danielle Rogers and freshman setter Vanessa Warren.

Nix was one of the top offensive players in the entire California Community College Athletic Association. Nix led the entire State in kills per set in 2019, averaging 5.45. Her 474 total kills was fourth in the CCCAA, and the third most by an individual in Citrus College history. In 25 matches, Nix posted a .248 kill percentage, 260 digs (2.99 per set), 34 aces, and 19 blocks.

Robles had a strong start to her collegiate career in 2019, recording a team leading 261 digs in her 26 appearances. She averaged 2.90 digs per set and was second on the team with 42 aces. Rogers added 38 kills and seven blocks to the Owls offense, while being a leader on and off the floor. Warren, also a freshman, handed out 759 assists (8.43 per set), the second most in program history for a single season. Her assists total led the entire WSC (North and South Divisions), while her per set mark was third.
