Owls Open Season at Mt. SAC

After a year hiatus, the Citrus College volleyball team hit the hardwood Friday night and took on Mt. San Antonio College on the road. The Owls dropped a three-set match (25-15, 25-17, 25-22).

Delaney Tate led the Owls with 15 kills on a .278 attack percentage. Defensively, Tate also posted 13 digs for a double-double. Alexis Aguayo led the defensive effort for Citrus with 15 digs while Faith Evaro matched Tate's 15 digs. Maritza Sanchez fueled the attack and finished with 26 assists.

Citrus tried to keep Mt. SAC at bay, but the Mounties only conceded six errors on the night to seal the victory.

The Owls are back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 1 as they take on Orange Coast at 5:00 p.m.
