Bio

Assistant volleyball coach Becca Jung (formerly Dean) joined the Citrus College women's volleyball coaching staff in 2010 as a volunteer assistant and became the Fighting Owls' top assistant in 2017. She played two seasons for the Owls in 2007 and 2008.

As a member of the Owls, Jung tallied 234 career kills, 266 career digs, and 40 aces. Prior to Citrus, Jung prepped three varsity seasons for Western Christian High School. She was a member of the 2004 CIF Championship squad as a sophomore, before going on to earn 1st Team All-League Honors as a junior and senior. Jung also played four years of varsity softball and varsity soccer, where she was also part of the 2006 CIF Championship squad for the women’s soccer team as a junior. 

After Citrus, Jung went on to finish her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and Human Performance at California Polytechnic University, Pomona and then her Master’s Degree in Physical Education at Azusa Pacific University. She is a member of the adjunct faculty in the Kinesiology Department here at Citrus.

In addition to coaching at Citrus, Jung has played a fundamental role in a number of Southern California Volleyball Clubs coaching athletes from ages 13 to 18 years old. She has coached at Top Gun Volleyball Club, ProPlay Volleyball Club, Mission Volleyball, and is now in her first season with Club Heights Volleyball as the 18-National Head Coach. Jung has had the privilege of sending student-athletes to Division 1, Division 2, Division 3 and NAIA schools.

Becca and Shin Jung married in 2021 and have a daughter.
