Walnut, CA -- After opening up the first day of the 2013 Mt. San Antonio College Tournament with a tough 13-5 loss to Orange Coast College, the Citrus College Women's Water Polo team found away to respond. The Owls did so with a convincing 11-5 victory over Rio Hondo College later in the day.

The day started off with the aforementioned contest with the Pirates. The Owls were shutout in the first quarter, and fell into a quick 3-0 hole. Citrus did keep up with the Pirates in the second quarter getting outscored by just one 4-3, but Citrus trailed 7-3 at the break.
