In a convincing 20-6 victory over the Los Angeles Pierce College Brahma Bulls, the Women's Water Polo team improved their overall season record to 7-6. The victory tasted sweet, as it was a Western State Conference win for the Owls.

Now 3-1 in Conference play, Citrus had participation offensively by just about every player on the team in the blowout win. To put that in perspective, exactly two thirds of the players on the Owls squad made at least one goal each. Leading the surge for the Owls on the attack were Jessica Carmody, Halo Espinoza, and Emma Tuck who each went home with 3 goals. On the defensive end, goalie Sam Wilson was nearly immaculate. Wilson faced 25 shots, had 18 saves, two steals and only allowed a total of 3 goals for Pierce. Putting up impressive numbers on the defensive end was utility player Chloe Barrocas, who ended the game with 5 steals of her own. In addition, Citrus as a whole drew 7 exclusions on the Brahma Bulls. As a result of the Owls outstanding defensive play, the offense clearly showed up and showed out.

The Owls are currently in second place in conference and with two consecutive wins, will prepare for another battle in conference play at home Wednesday at 3:30 PM versus the Ventura College Pirates. With the Owls playing outstanding on both ends of the pool, they look to extend their win streak to 3.
