Women's Water Polo: Semifinal Win Sends Owls to WSC Finals

Citrus Women's Water Polo advanced to the Western State Conference Championship Finals match on Friday, with a 12-9 win over semifinal opponent LA Valley. The Owls move on to face off against Santa Barbara City College for the conference crown on Saturday at LA Valley College.

Rachel Sherman led the Owls in scoring with 4 goals in the match, she also grabbed 3 steals and drew 2 ejections. Hannah Long put 3 goals in the net, Breanna Bailey and Cameron Schween scored 2, and Lauren Olivier scored 1 goal. Goalie Kate Carlyle posted a whopping 15 saves and snatched 4 steals for the Owls in 3 quarters of play.

Citrus moves to 26-6 overall in 2019. The Owls are right back in the pool tomorrow at 2:45 PM for the finals.
