Owls Cap Citrus Mini with a Win

Citrus College hosted the Citrus Mini Thursday, dropping a close 8-6 loss to Riverside City College but bouncing back with an 11-6 victory over San Diego Mesa.

The Owls move to 3-8 on the year with the split.

Teghan Miller scored four goals in the opener for the Owls, while Mia Meldrum had two assists.

In the nightcap, Delaney Latham had four goals and two assists to lead the Owls to victory. Miller tacked on another two goals and Meldrum rattled two in as well. Sierra Beltran also scored twice, while Andrea Hayler found the back of the cage once.

Mia Pfutzenrueter made seven saves in the cage for the Owls.

Citrus has little time to celebrate the victory, heading to the Cerritos Mini on Friday with an 8 a.m. game against host Cerritos College. The Owls cap the day off against Orange Coast College at 11:30 a.m.
