Larue Leads Citrus at Conference Championship

Citrus College competed at the Western State Conference Championship Friday afternoon.

Ryleigh Larue grabbed a top-10 finish to earn All-WSC first-team honors, taking ninth overall with a time of 19 minutes, 34.2 seconds – just one second off her career-best time. Lucy Zarita Osorio was just off the top-50, finishing with a time of 26:09.6 for 51st place, while Evelin Mendez clocked in at 35:44.0.

Geo Cabello led the Owl men and took 32nd individually with a time of 25:03.3 to pick up all-conference honorable mention. Aaron Zamarron followed with a time of 29:00.2, while Christopher Duran came in at 30:48.1 and Bailey Helgren finished in 31:15.5.

Citrus gets a week to prepare for the SoCal Championship on Nov. 3.
