Citrus Baseball hit the road Saturday for a regional matchup against Ventura College. The Owls battled back from an early deficit to make it a barn burner of a game. Citrus was on the wrong end of a walk off single by Ventura in the bottom of the 9th though, that sealed the narrow loss for the Owls.

Alejandro Loera went 1 for 1 and drove in 2 of the Owls' 5 runs in the top of the 8th, sparking the Citrus run that tied the game at 5 each. Ethan Cummins recorded a pair of hits, including a double, and added a stolen base to the stat column.  Go Hattorri went 3 for 4 on the day and scored a run.

Citrus moved to 2-9-1 after the loss, a slow start for the ball club compared to previous seasons.
