Bio

Bill Viverto has head coaching experience that dates back to 1968. Assistant Coach Viverto got his start playing for Mt. SAC from 1961-62. Viverto received his AA while attending Mt. SAC, before playing for the Independent League in Buffalo, New York from 1962-63. After finishing his playing career Viverto came back to California and earned his BS from Cal Poly Pomona in 1970.

Along with his playing experience Viverto has been on the local high school scene for over 20 years. Viverto spent 5 years at Covina High School, 5 years at Don Bosco Tech, and most recently 10 years at Whittier High School as the head coach from 1997-2006. In 2004-2005, Whittier won back to back Del Rio League Championships. Prior to coaching high school Viverto spent two seasons, 1982-83, on Mt. SAC’s coaching staff.

Viverto’s success hasn’t stopped there as he has been a head coach on the local scene, coaching the American Legion World Series Champions in 1985, Mickey Mantle World Series Champions in 1994, and the first-ever youth team to be inducted into the Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame, the Colt World Champions of 1970.
